you are hilarious as ever and YES in St P et M there was lots of chat about Veuve de S Pierre, about the last man guillotined there, no? You should visit the bagne in St Laurent de Maroni where there is a plinth where the guillotine stood until fairly recently. terrifying place. this is a mad trip but am glad you are reading the blog – keeps me in touch with humanity! all love R
